Well Ultra number three! I decided to wear my new kit in the hope that it would bring me luck. My first race as a 9bar runner!
It was a very hot day temps forecast about 20 degrees. This was one of the races in the Runfurther series and there was a large entry with a choice of 17/26 or 33miles distances.
I was planning to run with Debbie and we set off well. Debs struggled from about 6 miles and found the day difficult - it made a change for me being the stronger one for once and I had a lovely day out running. I felt strong for the whole thing and really enjoyed the day. I am getting better at this distance and even managed a very fast last 2 miles after I left Deb to catch some ladies up! I believe I finished as third lady but the results were all messed up and they actually gave third prize to a lady who I think was about 7th! They said they will be in touch!
