Trail Marathon Wales

Now this event was one of my ultimate favourite events last year. Liz and Alan from 9Bar had come down this year to support and did a wonderful job of flying the 9 Bar Flag - Literally! Denzil was also back again for some more! Sadly for me - I managed to pull something in my butt at one mile! I carried on to the 4 mile mark but it was getting worse. Every footstep was giving me grief - Now as an ultra runner - I pride myself on being quite tough and had I been 20 miles into the race I would have soldiered on - as it was I pulled out and had to undertake the walk of shame back to the start. I had an awesome day anyway - spent time with wonderful - Al and Liz - spoke to the lovely Salomon guys and generally handed out 9bars and socialised. A long way to go for a 4 mile run but hey - such is life!
